| Office Aide Program |
AST has just started an Office Aide Program for students who are in 8th-10th grade. This Wednesday(11/19), SHAY ABDULLAH from 10th grade will be our first Office Aide. All nominees have to be in good academic standing(At least A's and B's). Mr.Abdullah will be assisting the front office personnel all day WEDNESDAY from 8:00am-4:00pm.
We believe education at school is not limited to only the classroom setting. AST students need to experience a day in the office helping office personnel as well as building leadership responsibilities.
This will create an environment that exposes students to take initiative and learn the importance of responsibility, how to interact with other adults, secretaries, our Medical Assistant i.e. They will learn through hands on experience how an office environment functions here at school.

| Accelerated Reader |
Abramson Science & Technology has started Accelerated Reader Program in the school. Accelerated Reader (AR) is reading management software used by students all over the world. This program provides teachers with an effective way to monitor all forms of guided reading practice. And with Accelerated Reader Renaissance Place, teachers get even more detailed, objective data to target instruction and ensure success for every student, regardless of level, from emergent reader to college prep! Abramson Science & Technology is committed to the Reading Renaissance Plan which focuses on growth for each child no matter the level. Students are continuously guided to appropriate books within their zone of proximal development (ZPD). This assures that every student is challenged without being frustrated.
